I've just been out scouting for a Yamazaki 10 year for most of today, couldn't find one so picked up a Glenfiddich Solera Reserve, very nice it is too.
Southern comfort is nice, tastes of refreshers though, more sourmash than whiskey. JD is a bourbon not a whiskey technically. I admire you on being able to drink proper malt whiskey, I can't drink it straight
hah, that reminded me of this, from the letterbocks section of the latest issue of Viz:
TO give herself more street-cred, Jennifer Lopez took the first letter of her first name and the first syllable of her surname and successfully re-branded herself as the more 'urban sounding' J-Lo. I can't think why the newly-reformed Pete Doherty, with his street-credibility on the wane, hasn't done the same thing.
Actually I did like sheep dip. I drank like half a bottle of it while having a drinking contest with my "brother in law" at a funeral.
I dont think they make it anymore though
I don't like whiskey, unless i've got stomach ache and its with warm water. Whiskey and orange i don't mind but that's as far as i'm prepared to go. I like JD and Jim beam with coke, and southern comfort is sometimes nice with orange once again, but i'm not fussed about the taste of whiskey. I'm often not in the mood for JD either.
I like whiskey a lot. I'll drink most kinds as long as it's not cheap own brand shit or Bell's and the like. JD, J&B Rare and Jameson's are probably the ones I get most. Southern Comfort is awful. Tastes like hairspray.
Living with Rob from EDT had it's benefits such as being able to drink lots of his 18 year old Talisker whiskey. Mmmm....if it doesn't taste like it's full of smokey old embers then it's not up to scratch.
