    • PetePete
    • Any Katatonia fans out there? No 'Mulder and Scully' type jokes please...

    • Would I like Katatonia? I'd like to see the support band Junius.

No, would be my guess, but you never know.

I've never heard of the supports - what are they like?
    • mambamamba
    • That's what I thought.

The latest Junius album basically sounds like a Deftones record.

I was a bit disappointed with it but would gladly go and see them live.

Edit:- Alcest are playing, Mike will be pleased.

    • HopkinsHopkins
    • i've just got into stuff like katatonia, ghost brigade and swallow the sun

i likes the singing, reminds me of anathema

    • I'm up for this, Mike. What are Alcest and Junius like?
    • mikemike
    • Alcest are a mix of shoegaze, black metal and folk which works REALLY well, my avatar is the album cover to their best release (in my opinion), Junius sound a bit like Opeth to my ears, proggy but not stupidly complex.
    • GarethGareth
    • Junius to me sound like a mix of Cave In and Interpol, although I've heard Neurosis and The Smiths comparisons too.
    • HopkinsHopkins
    • must listen to junius
    • GarethGareth
    • I'd start at the beginning, the album quality goes downhill from the first one, albeit quite slowly.

I don't like The Smiths or Interpol, but those comparisons intrigue me enough to want to check this band out.

Funnily enough, I thought exactly the same thing.
