This obviously is a bad thing as the venue was great and we had our 1st couple of gigs there... but it worries me as to where the promoters that work there will be going.... ripping off another bunch of unsuspecting bands and profiting excessively!!
Ripped off is a pretty stong term.... what i am refering to really is bringing over 20 people to a show on a Wednesday night for a fiver a head, not seeing the promoter, not knowing what time we were on and not as much as a thank you... i know i am whinging but i am sure no bands are happy when they have to deal with that.
Don't get me wrong i ahve seen some brilliant bands there and its great but nothing like a good complain on a Monday morning!!
That sucks hard man! The Gaff is a great venue, ive lost many a brain cell in that place. Played a couple of gigs there seen a load and promoted one night which was an awesome night that kicked ass and stayed open late. SUCKSSUCKSSUCKS!! and not forgeting Tony the main man!!
I've only been to The Dome once, about five years ago to see Watain. Apparently they banned extreme metal gigs after that because Watain chucked a load of blood into the audience and stank the place out.
Someone I used to know (he definitely wasn't a friend) used to go there to the club night quite a lot. He said it was underage carnage, 16 year old gigs off their tits, people shagging in dark corners, people pissing on the floor come 3am.
NOt sure if I believe the whole lot of that. This bloke was prick royalty.
