    • Here's a bit of an update about what's happening with the label and bands in the coming months.

Next up is the EP from Tree Of Sores, with 6 tracks of dark and ambient doom, we're just waiting on artwork from Black Uroborus, and then it's off to the printers. In the meantime, check out one of the tracks, 'Sandford'. A 3 week European tour follows in April/May, so please get in touch if you can help with dates.

Following that, will be an EP from dirty sludgers Iron Witch, entitled 'Single Malt'. Before that drops, they're busy cutting their teeth gigging, doing a short tour with Rasputin and Hello Dagger, supporting the mighty Kylesa in Manchester, and also playing with the legendary Sallyat the Skill Wizard night in London.

Trippy Wicked are working on their next album, and are also heading out on tour in the UK and Europe with Stone Axe and Stubb, so Chris & Pete Wicked will have their work cut out, as they're also the rhythm section in Stubb.

Year Of The Flood have bagged a couple of slots on the upcoming Latitudes and Hammers tour, so get down early to Nottingham and Cambridge to see them in action. A short UK tour is also in the pipeline for March/April.

Below The Fall finished off last year with some well-received gigs, including a BBC Introducing show and also got radio play. Their track, 'Commissioner' was also used on a showreel video by the talented Drew Casson, check it out. A new EP is in the pipeline for release in Spring 2011

Finally, there's going to be a 1st birthday gig for the label, on Saturday May 7th, at Stuck On A Name Studios in Nottingham, featuring all 5 bands, and bring your own booze, so it's gonna be party time! Will hopefully get some t-shirts done, and a nice screenprinted poster for the occasion.

Thanks for all the support and kind words in 2010, here's to a banging 2011!

    • Leeds 3 piece, Tree Of Sores, take influences from the doomy atmospherics of Neurosis, an underbelly of crust care of Amebix, and an air of recklessness favoured by the likes of Eyehategod. The band create a vibe that is heavy, dark and ambient, with tortured male/female vocals, and a mission to take you to a frightening place.

Recorded with Matt (Pumpkin Records) at Brunswick Mill, Manchester in October 2010, and artwork and layout by Black Uroborus, this CD comes in a 4-panel digipack, and is limited to 150 copies. You can buy the CD here, or can be listened to and downloaded from Bandcamp right now for whatever price you want, even free.
