   • Howdy! Hows it going?
     
     My name's Pete, and I've been looking for a decent forum, like this one appears to be, for a rather long time! Apologies if you have an "Introductions" thread... I couldn't find one!
     
     Bit about myself - I've just finished uni in Manchester and have relocated to Laandaan taaan to start a new job. Hence, consequently I have naff all mates down here, and even fewer who share my avid love of all things rock/metal/stoner/fuzz/doom/desert/prog/punk/sludge... and assorted other definitions for things that have to do with awesome riffs. So a forum seemed like a good way to go, and after following Marek Steven's articles online, (I'm a great admirer of Invasion) I found this one!
     
     I've only been in London for two weeks, but I'm already becoming aware that the underground scene here is not only buzzing, it is vibrating like a pneumatic drill in a massage-chair factory, and I can't wait to sample as many live acts as I can.
     
     Anyhoo, I'll stop warbling on, but hopefully I'll chat to some of you in greater detail soonish. Also, if anyone's going to the Winnebago Deal gig in Camden tonight, I'll be the short beardy midget headbanging away at the front, so come say HI!

      Dicks! No-one told me there would be burlesque and shambolics!! Shambolics are good at the best of times, but burlesque shambolics... hot dang.

      Cheers for the welcomes everyone!! I'm sure you all know how hard it is moving to a new place, so I appreciate it. Especially when one of your new housemates asks you:
      
      "So Pete, are Black Sabbath any good?"
      
      It just means that I'll have to make even more of an effort to go see kickass bands, although Winnebago Deal for free on saturday at The Flowerpot was not a bad start!! (Review to follow)

      And LOL, the thought of Monster Magnet playing in 'Leamings'ton (I'm from Coventry!) is pretty damn hilarious/awesome!! I really like that The Assembly Rooms are now really starting to push themselves as a venue!
