Good man, know your limits
Didnt get a reply from the first band I asked about but got a couple of messages from other people.
One I imagine must be about 15 because he's into shit screamo (like that stuff we were watching on Scuzz Mike haha) but the other is promising, got a Gentlemans Pistols, Pentagram, Firebird thing going on. I like.
Just gotta meet up with him and hope he's not a twat haha
I went round Barnsley all afternoon yesterday checking out what the housing is like, really nice as it goes, so it looks like me and Linda are moving there in June, just got to find a house! Went out to a few pubs with a guy from work, Linda and his girlfriend then went to see Toby Foster's Last Laugh, weirdly the two supports were kinda famous, the guy who had his face painted as a tiger from Phoenix Nights and the son of Roy Walker (he was ok, not as good as his dad). Was cool, then had a few in Barnsley before the last train home.
Hung over today, been playing Army Of Two (its ok), might go for a meal with Linda tonight, anyone got any plans tonight?
Want to go swimming tomorrow, might go and see a film too.
Today my other band shot some of a video for a competition called 2 Weeks to Make it. I waded into the north sea fully clothed and got taken down by a huge wave. Thankfully, this isn't on camera.
Went to see William Elliott Whitmore at a house party in Portsmouth last night. It was freakin' sweet!
It was indeed sir... so gald you came man and Nice to meet Mrs Mamba.
Banjos are a good thing.
I spent the weekend at the seaside where I spent most of my summers as a kid, which was nice, until I ran over a scurrying baby hedgehog. Oops. First person to say 'pictures or it didn't happen' is getting coal for Christmas.
Just gotta meet up with him and hope he's not a twat haha
Well the guy started asking twenty questions and it turns out he is a total dick.
Total dick says:
I actually don't rate double bass playing. In fact, I see it as something beginners think they need to learn to be considered accomplished drummers. It's actually one of the most basic parts of drumming, that's why so many beginners play it.
I checked out your recordings dude and seeing as you haven't played in a couple of years and only started playing at 19 I can only assume you're a beginner.
Not what I'm looking for but cheers for your time.
- Rick.
Turns out we are all beginners because we use a double bass pedal and how old did I have to start to drumming to be rated? (not that I'm amazing, but I just think its a stupid statement on his part)
Back to square one
