Anyone know much about work permits for usa peeps?

    • JackJack
    • Need to make sure our good friends roadsaw can visit london, but they need permits. Anyone know how this works?

    • Dude I'm doing one currently you need to get a company to sponsor them or something. I think it can be somewhere like an established venue. But yeah its a tough one they don't make it easy. If I find out anymore I'll let you know. I'm trying to sort one for oldseed currently.

    • Not a lot. There's a bit of info here. Sounds like a right pain in the arse unfortunately.

    • Simple, you march into the Home Office clad head to toe in denim and leather, stand on a desk in the middle of the room and shout "In the words of the mighty Dee Snider YOU CAN'T STOP ROCK AND ROLL!!!"

Then you lean into the face of the nearest jobsworth suit and say "that's the only visa I need motherfucker" before marching out singing "We're Not Gonna Take It"

That's pretty much it dude, no paperwork or anything.

    • Oldseed did jail time for no visa... and then got sent back whence he came.

    • I would've assumed that as they were playing in Europe anyway then they'd be covered, but it appears not.

    • Are they not doing any more dates over here? I would have thought they'd know the score as they've played here before. You could try contacting a chap called Matteo at the Garbage Dump Agency in Italy as he's sorting the Solace tour over here.

that's amazing! bonus points if you do it smelling of stale beer and reefer.

i almost had the living shit kicked out of me in indonesia when i was a kiddie. i'd lost my visa and cheeked the immigration control chaps. i was a fanny hair from prison before i convinced them that deportation was a better option.

as promoter can you be the "company" that "sponsers" them???
    • mambamamba
    • It looks like it needs to be a limited company, or charity.
    • JackJack
