    • by good you mean a god awful racket?

i'm working out what i would use equipment wise. laptops are a cop out in my mind so it'll all be live sound manipulation. this however does mean i need some way of storing sounds to trigger from my, er, triggers...

      anyone any suggestions?

    • A sampler, you spazz.

    • if i looked into it properly i bet the brain from my Roland drum kit could do it.

    • Er I assume a Kaos pad like what Duncan has in HC would fit the bill - samples and loops whats going on around it to your hearts content. Dont know if they are bit steep/hard to come by.

    • Depends. Old ones (KP1 & KP2) only have two 6 second sample banks, and lose the samples when you turn it off, but you can pick em up for about £50 on ebay. The new ones (KP3) have more functionality as samplers, but they also cost in the region of £250 - £300.

You'd be surprised really, theres alot of labels out there selling out of the weirdest stuff alot of the time, I ventured into it but they charge too much for what is essentially tat most of the time.

    • Sunday 29th... shame about flatlands not playing... not entirley sure what promoters up to... he wasn't keen on flatlands as he said they where too loud yet he's ok with stinking liz and eolb... odd man.
I'm hoping flatland will let me put them on at the grov or somewhere similar for their tour with tiger waraw.
Any way noise... well I think like any type of music there is good and bad noise. I think if you like that sort of music you can tell what is good and bad. Like metal to some folks is just noise... I think if it is just dicking about to the trained ear its obvious.
