Mfkzt once played at Rob's girlfriend's brother's birthday party in a hall that had a sound limiter. We just got an extension lead and plugged everything into a socket that wasn't attached to the limiter. Rock n roll rebellz
That was hilarious. Andy chatting up an actual child.
I'd concur on the Nottingham front, for obvious reasons although worst of recent memory was the first date of my tour in October - playing to 6 people who were expecting a reggae night, breaking a string and just being quite crap on a stage barely deep enough for us and the PA. Or 9th Dec just gone, headlining to one drunk guy who spent the whole set talking to the girl who played last.
We did loads of shit gigs in Mfkzt, and I've probably done even more on my own. A really good gig where everything works the way it should is a rare thing indeed.
Best gigs ever: Mfkzt/Sunshine Republic in Newcastle, Mfkzt at The Underworld with Eden Maine to 200 crazy underage kids and my last gig at the Redhouse. [Edited by Rob Himself at 12:42 on 23/01/09]
