Favourite curry dish, innit?

    • JenTheHenJenTheHen
    • In memory of the Mexican thread. What's your favourite curry?

I tend to get Dopiaza in new places, as it's pretty tough to get it wrong. But I'm a big fan of a Rogan and I love anything to do with poneer.

      Nom nom nom.

    • Garlic Chilli Chicken

    • a good tikka masala takes some beating i feel. i don't like really hot curries, can't be doing with sweating mega amount. Mediums are best i reckon.

lamb buana may be my favourite, although i can't really decide, don't really have a favourite. I'm liking Saag's at the moment.

Really like Thai green curry too, but i very rarely have one.

    • eggy you cant say tikka massala its not even an authentic curry , it was invented in the 60's in Britain.
Thats like saying your favourite traditional English food is a Ploughmans lunch.
If you're saying that then I'm saying Pot Noodle Original curry flavour ( but with the hot sauce sachet from a Bombay bad-boy pot noodle , it tastes much better this way )

    • Chicken tikka masala is very similair to butter chicken

It's freaky you did this Jen, as I didn't need any inspiration for the curry cook off that I did tonight. Chilli chicken tikka masala, with my own bhajis and pilau rice. Voila

    • That looks amazing. Nice photography too.

Ferdy cooked me a wicked curry last weekend. It had the oddest ingredients (egg, potato and green beans) but was awesome.

    • Christopher Rodolphus Snogger, I can't believe a man of your character has square plates. You disgust me.
      Curry looks good, though.
I like a lamb jalfrezi, me.

The square plate if for curry night as you can fit more on it, otherwise it's round plates all the way. What I really need is a 12" plate of course

    • I would be all over that Chilli Chicken Massala, Chris. That's one of my favourites. It's usually that or a Jalfrezi or Rogan when I go for a curry.

    • Feeling Saag Masala at the moment..

Had a nice & spicy fish curry at Akbar's few weeks back - can't for the life of me remember what is was called - mighty tasty tho!:)

    • Dopiaza, Dhansak or a Saag for me, although I love a korma now and again.

Had a lovely butter chicken at SB's with Tim last night, thats a great place, cheap too.

    • Saag just means spinach! It's nice in curry but it's not a type of curry kids.

I'm a big fan of the peshwari nan also. I find sweet curries too much but add a bit of sweetness in the bread and I'm all over that shit like a rash.
