     McCain would have been a fairly stable choice had he not gone for that fucking harridan as his VP. I also think that McCain's gonna clinch the swing voters, especially in the "Bible Belt" despite the fact that they think he's a baby murdering/gay marraige endorsing woofter.

    • it's nice to see the US election is going in vaguely the right way but the one thing that really sticks in my throat (and the same can be said for lewis hamiltons recent F1 victory) is that the media feels the need to highlight the fact that obama is black. in this day and age we should seriously be merely thinking "has the right dude got the job". nothing should have anything to do with race. i would have thought as an evolved bunch of monkeys we should be able to look beyond that by now.
      
      ...then again, i'm a hippy cunt idealist who wishes the world turned vegan, found an end to war and violence in general and that we finally realised that there's only one planet that we all live on and divisions between landmass have no real grasp on a forward thinking society. there's an entire universe to explore and make friends with. i, for one, can't wait to leave this godforsaken planet in one shape or form...

      I'm a big fan of the "lest we forget" camp. If you consider that 30 years ago Obama probably wouldn't have even got a look in, at least we're (or they are) moving in the right direction.
      
      I am deeply saddened that Thatcher has been the only Prime Minister that wasn't a white man. Not in terms of science anyway.
      
      However, my feelings about Obama is that he reminds me of American TV's idea of representing black in the 80s and 90s. He's a black man, but he's a pretty bloody white, middle class black man.
