    • yeah jazz is really nice i need to practice a bit more and get some more stuff together post rock and jazz will require further investigation

    • Post rock is a bit too easy, lots of reverb and delay, tremolo pick high up the neck etc. It's been done a bit too much, by me included.

    • im not really sure i know how to play post rock like you said probably something a bit more technical is more fun
      
      i think our next expedition will be some avant garde looping but i do love the jazz so we sahll see if i can do stuff like tortoise id be pretty happy

      my guitar teacher is actually an amazing jazz guitarist so when we are not doing the classical stuff occasionally i pick his brain for frww jazz tips

    • Hey up, Mike. The free stuff with John was great fun, thanks. We had a few improvisation sessions, and they culminated in John asking me to have a crack at playing in a trio with him. It's a pretty intimidating prospect, though, because of their high standard. You know the kind of stuff.
      
      Bloody amazing to jam with him. Unlike any musical situation I've ever found myself in... I could go on.
      
      Anyway, how are things with you? When's the album out?
