     Danish psych rockers Baby Woodrose are now booked to play the Magnificent Flying Head Machine 23.5.9. Recently featured as the soundtrack to the Mini Cooper comercial (invading vikings and beach babes), this will be the bands debut UK appearance and a must see for all fans of high energy garage psych stoner sounds.

   • Just thought I'd better bump this in order to mention that all the local press around here are running "Charlotte To Close" stories over the past couple of days. Apparently, Andy (the gaffer) has put the booking/entertainment/business side of it into administration and it's down to the brewery to come up with some kind of rescue package for the place to remain.
     
     So someone involved with this might want to make some phonecalls.
     
     Mind you, the place has slowly been killing itself for the past 7 or 8 years though so it's not that big a shock in the current financial climate I guess.

   • Latest from the Charlotte is MFHM is safe as a rescue package looks likely. Ticket sales have been very healthy with around 75% all ready sold so the venue really wants this festival to go ahead.
     
     We will keep you posted and of course refund any tickets in the invent of a cancellation.

    • Shame about Baby Woodrose, I thought it was his band? The fact that you get Colour Haze, Gentlemans Pistols and Cherry Choke etc in one place at the same time makes up for that and then some though

    • Errrrrr, is this really going ahead at the Charlotte? All the local press is saying that Andy (the gaffer) is relinquishing all business dealings with the place as of 02 Feb (ie. Monday) and anything booked is out of luck? The Charlotte site still has bookings if you navigate to the coming soon page but the main homepage basically says that the place is closing as of... errrrr... now.

    • It's true. I got the official word today that the Charlotte is now closed for good and not just until April as we originally thought.
      
      All tickets purchased will be refunded (please see ticket for details).
      
      We looked around for other venues and funding but with regret we will have to cancel this show as of today.
