Awesome...apart from the last one. Was Patton a complete cock?

      Some nice Ebay items there.

    • Nah Mike Patton was cool, he was just messing. I've met him before and he was pretty cool. The clown was pretty funny from Slipnot, kept scaring our camera guy

      that's what i'm talking about.

a hug from whitesnake would be better.

    • Was great. Lost my phone at 6pm on Friday and went with the flow. It was handed in as I was leaving on Sunday, mad.

Journey, Limp Bizkit, ZZ Top, Slipknot (Wait and Bleed only)

Had to miss Whitesnake cos of personal shit. Had a mad but amazing weekend. Hope they have more classic / true / extreme metal next year.

    • That was sooo much fun. the weather was awesome...everyone was having a good time. Journey, Pendulum, ZZ Top & Down were my faves. I got to the 2nd stage late for the prodigy so could harldy hear fuck all. Lots of people were chanting TURN IT UP...I had a glow stick and I was ready to roll. Mamba and I decided to walk back after two songs...mamba had a good wobble on..we talked about life ;).

We drunk lots of beer, red wine and hit the fucking hash pipes.

Friday night I feel out of my chair twice, saturday night my mate Bown had a whitey and he also took a photo of a shit in a sink (Not his).

We had a mini rave on Sunday night and mamba slept through it then stood up and tried to get into someone else's tent.

Sorry for missing you jack. You always seemed to heading out when we were so high that we did not know our names (1am). I'll post the three t-shirts up to you on Saturday.

I announced the death of rock on Saturday night.

Mamba..where we going next? I'm in the groove..Avebury on Saurday? ha ha

      YEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAHHH!

    • did you see Whitesnake? I thought they were awesome
    • MazzMazz
    • Yeah I did. I thought they were weak compared to when I saw them last year. STILL awesome though.
    • mambamamba
    • I should've booked this whole week off to recover. I'm still a mess today.

Fancy Global Gathering, Mazz? Then we can hit the reds.
    • JackJack
    • I loved Down, ZZ Top, Whitesnake, Slipknot. Down was probably my favourite. How was Karma To Burn? I've got a dvd of Clutch, looked good
    • mambamamba
    • Karma To Burn was awesome. No one watched them mind. Not sure why they were even on the second stage. Best bit was when a huge swarm of bees flew over the pit.

Edit: Not a bad vid here

    • i thought the bees thing was a joke, it looked like confetti in the photos my mate took. Worst act award goes to Marilyn Manson (nearly killing various crew members by pushing lights over etc and just being useless) and Dream Theatre (very very boring)

    • My brief review...

      Friday:

      Steadlur - SLEAZE rock. Ok. I heard a rating of 8/10. I'd go more with a 5/10.

The Blackout (from a distance) - shit. 0/10

      Staind (from a distance) - shit. 0/10

Billy Talent - not bad band, shit singer. 4/10

Middle Class Rut - one of the few unknown (to me) bands I watched. Bit like a 2 piece Janes Addiction. Nice surprise. 7/10

Limp Bizkit - most fun I've had in the pit since 1998. 10/10

Backyard Babies - always great, but was a bit knackered after the Bizkit so watched from the back. 8/10

Motley Crue (first few songs) - lots of talking bullshit between songs. Heard a couple of hits before I left. 5/10

Faith No More - much better than I expected. Awesome end to the first day. 9/10

      Saturday:

Hardcore Superstar - more sleaze to start the day. Not bad. 6/10

Hatebreed (from a distance) - angry men. 4/10

      Down - awesome. 8/10

The Answer - I like them, but getting a bit bored of them now. 6/10

Pendulum (from the beer garden at the back) - don't really get it. 3/10 (extra marks for being sat in the beer garden)

Marilyn Manson (a little bit) - gets worse every time I see him. 2/10

The Prodigy - first couple of songs. Couldn't hear anything. Went back to the tent. 4/10.

      Sunday:

Journey (first few songs) - boring. 3/10

Karma To Burn - got right down the front very easily. Riffs + bees = awesome. 9/10

** interlude to fall asleep in the sun and pour beer all over myself **

ZZ Top - old men and beards. Not as good as I'd hoped. 4/10

Clutch - standard Clutch. Couple of new ones. Rocked it. 8/10

Buckcherry - Also rocked it. 7/10

      Whitesnake - Bored me. 4/10

Def Leppard - Also bored me. Probably not helped from where we were sat, but it had been a long weekend. 4/10

    • Def Leppard were very dull, but I've never like them anyways

      Mamba...Journey were brilliant

      Journey - Don't stop believing

I was too psyched up for Karma To Burn so didn't take that much notice. I didn't see any of the songs I knew either, which admittedly is about 2.

    • ok..it does look fun...I'll let you have it. Matt did enjoy himself. They all liked you as well....bless
