    • Not that keen on boiled or poached eggs, prefer them fried as you get crispy bits

or is this the egg thread.
    • HopkinsHopkins
    • chop them in wedges and roast them with a few herbs or spices

      pepperami firestick sandwich for lunch.

      one half baguette

      two pepperamis

      make into a sandwich

      that is all...i fucking rule.

incidentally...does anyone have a good recipe for eggs benedict or can tell me how to poach an egg without an egg poacher?

      Boil water

      Crack egg into bowl

      Take water off heat

Stir water to round and round to make a whirlpool

Slide egg into the middle of the whirlpool

put back on heat but not boiling or it'll break the egg up

Scoop out when its done enough for ya

    • Here's a culinary quandary... I've just been sent home from work after being epically sick in the toilets, but now I'm feeling much better and am very hungry indeed. I have some delicious homemade pork and apple burgers that I could eat, but they make me ill again...
What do you do, hotshot? WHAT DO YOU DO?

If I don't post for a while, I've caved and gone to cook the burgers.

    • I had a wicked chicken salad last night, jsut cucumber, lettuce, avacado chunks, tomatos in quarters, pepper, salt and 2 breasts of chicken between me and linda fried in cubes with some spices, hit the spot, if you do loads its filling too and won't make you sick!

I added mixed seeds to mine too, FIBRE.

I've found myself with a lot of sweet potatoes and I want to do something really nice with them.
Anyone got any good, flesh-free, recipe ideas?

i'm a day late with this but sweet potatoes make an excellent soup with sweetcorn and peanut butter. if you've not eaten them already, let me know and i'll dig out the recipe.

    • Serves 8 but i can't be bothered doing the maths

      1kg sweet potato chopped small
      2 large onions chopped small
      75g butter/spread
      1 clove garlic
      2 litres stock
      1 1/4 cups peanut butter
      1 tablespoon chilli sauce
      1/4 cup of chopped peanuts
      cumin, chives, salt to taste

Fry onion in pan 10 mins
Add sweet potatoes and herbs, cook 10 mins
Add stock, boil, simmer 10 mins
Stir through peanut butter and chilli sauce, simmer for 30 mins
Sprinkle with chopped peanuts and chives. Serve

i added the sweetcorn cause i like it. it's not in the proper recipe.
