    • I'm going to ask them what I can do with it, I don't think they'll release it as I have the footage I shot at Roadburn which is much better and apparently will be included on a live LP/DVD in the future. I might be able to upload songs up onto youtube or similar

      Yeah.

Been listening to Envy lately, lots of bits of theirs sound like Flatlands which I'd not really noticed before. *waits for Mike to disagree completely*

I'd agree Envy certainly do touch on the early 90's emo sound a bit as do the flatlands.
the song about riding down the hill on your bike sounds totally like a portraits of the past song (in a not rip off vibe either).
Flatlands are one of my favourite UK bands because they're songs move me so much emtionally...

    • That video Mike jus posted has some very Joy Division-y singing.

Anyway, Paramore - Brand New Eyes. It's ace.

    • Problably why I'm a fan then... been known to like rip off joy division... soon the drakness where once described as joy division as a screamo band. ha ha!

Good call. I'm on a bit of a Maiden kick lately, been collecting up the good 80s albums (eg: all of them except the Live After Death, which is good if you live live records. I don't).

And with that in mind: Maiden - Somewhere In Time
