This weekend I will mostly be...

    • ms tinnitusms tinnitus
    • I'm back from an amazing trip to the US - so my head is still spinning (first time encountering jet lag... any tips??)
      I feel pretty zombiefied

Saw some amazing nature, including the Grand Canyon, the Sequoia National Park, Yosemite, Big Sur (highway 1 drive along the coast) LA and San Francisco, and a bit of New Mexico.

      wow!

Today I mostly injured myself, went down hard around a corner riding my bike, rear tyre blew out. I now have gnarly gash on arm and leg. Trying to rail corners with a surface like sand is a tad risky. I still have sand in my teeth

I rolled the tyre off the rim yesterday, no idea when i did it, just stopped, looked down and half of it was off. oops

    • I urge everyone to see District 9, went to see it yesterday and it was just amazing.

    • I'm still not sold on films to be honest.

    • I watch more than I used to, but I know what you mean.

    • I've had one of the best weekends EVER. Grifter rocked Newbury to its foundations last night. And today I've been down the pub to be greeted with more praise at how AWESOME the bands last night were.

I did too with my folks, sister and some family friends. We did a day in San Francisco then Vegas, monument valley, grand canyon and a couple of places in Utah.

    • Looking at those photos, and my friend in Utah's constant stream of weekend trip photos, I think I'm gonna have to do something similar sometime too. Looks amazing.

    • Stock up on booze before you hit Utah, it's a dry state.

    • So tired spent all weekend recording... yesterday afternoon drinking bourbon and shouting/sing nearly killed me.
Thanks to National express for being utterly shit too... they cancelled two lines so took me 3 hours each way to southend... Apologies to Rob who's show I missed because of this...

No worries, you really didn't miss much. Although I have to announce I shall be refraining from future London gigs unless they're DIY type shows with or without bands or something. Acoustic nights in the city of a thousand acoustic nights are not worth the effort!

National Express better not fuck up my trip to Edinbrrr in Nov.

    • Yeah check for line closures... dude I might be sorting a semi regular acoustic night down the birds nest with Cecile I will of course hook you up bro.
Am soi gutted though was singing spaceman song on the way to the studio yesterday...
Bad thing as well was I was already half cut as I'd been drinking bourbon doing vocals so was well in the mood for going out. I got into London at 10pm... boo!

    • I had a great jam yesterday for a new band of which once again I am the youngest and least tattoed member Its a proper straight up heavy rock band, looking forward to seeing where it goes. The line up is Brad Simms (drums, ex The Blood), Bruce (bass, ex member of various punk bands), John (vocals) and myself on guitar. Rock and roll
