    • I got Castaway and Planes , Trains and automobiles on VHS for 25p each.
It's very unusual for me to pay for food but I bought a slice of the most delicious Baklava EVER from In a Nut-Shell.
      Highly recommend it.

    • a few doors up from Mike on Chesterfield Rd.
All their cakes and bakes are vegi or vegan but you can't tell they're so delicious.
They also do great smoked veg burritos and cheesy mexican wrap thingies as well as Hendersons Relish crisps.

    • I need to go there more often, only been in browsing with no money.

    • unfortunately she's really let the place go since she took it over.
It's a great shop but criminally understocked , especially when you consider that Lembas , one of the countries biggest specialist wholefood distros , is literally spitting distance away.
In that location she should be raking in the liberal leftie / ex hippie dollar.
For example she doesnt sell hot drinks. If it was my shop in that area I'd do fair trade tea with organic soy milk in a recycled paper cup, imagine how well that'd go down in Meersbrook!
. I reckon that'd make her an extra 30 quid a day alone

some sound business sense there. you should set up shop next door and put her out of business

    • I hate retail but it's all I know.
Some things are so obvious though. Generally , the general public ARE as stupid as you think they are and very easy to market to. The customer is never always right but if you make them think they are you can sell anything.
She's missing out in that shop , I'd love to run it for a month and compare sales.

    • Keys to new flat. Hummus and pitta bread, inspired by Tim - I can see why bands eat so much of this stuff, it's ace convenience food.

A frame for my latest Drew Millward masterpiece
Some nuts and seeds, a jerky veg pasty and a veggie scotch egg
Boring kitchen stuff like tuppaware, egg slicer and coarse sea salt

I saw a CD for £1 called "Halloween CD" in Wilkos. I wondered who could be on it, but it just said an hour long track of scary sounds. Nearly bought it too, but then just before the till realised I had to succomb to too many impulse buys that day already and put it back.

    • Used £50 Meadowhall vouchers on Fallout 3 and Sopranos Series 1. Also bought a cardie and 2 ties for work from that hell of a place, all while hungover.

Came back to town and bought a bike lock, helmet and lights and one of these to put them on/use with.
