    • I am denialing your objections re the verbing of nouns. Aint on muthafuckas, it ain't.

    • The verbing of nouns is surely too adjective for words.

Rich - If you know a good pub with a big ass TV, I'm all ears! Cauliflower ears, of course! Whereabouts is your lair of wankery and mischief?

Definitely agree on the early start - last year's Super Saturday got so out of hand that I woke up in the morning and had to ask my housemate who had won the damn thing!!

Who else is up for joining us?

    • i live south of the river and there's a decent rugby pub in colliers wood, but i appreciate that may be a bit of a mission for folk...

Cools. I haven't explored much of the South of the river yet, plus there's an Underdog night on that night.

    • Dear Martin Johnson,

I've been patient. I've respected your loyalty to both playing and coaching staff. I've tolerated your choice of captain. I've even endured with good humour the non-stop barrage of futile attempts to see "lots of positives" in one woeful performance after another. I've given a lot here, and the time has come when you need to either give something back, or just admit you don't know what you're doing.

      Yours,

    • i wept. bitterly.

despite the fact that i would never write scotland off for a calcutta cup win, especially on a cold day in murrayfield with a point to prove, we just never showed up to the game. if anyone DARES point out any positives i can take from that performance, i'll eat my own cock.

i'm wondering how many more of these little disappointments he can survive at the helm of a stale and ambitionless bunch. i doubt he'll be in post this time next year...

france/italy was a cool game. nice to see the italians get some tries past les bleus, even though i am through and through frog.

monsieur le plonker: if you can make it down to colliers wood on sat before first match, i will try and mark some territory in the rugby pub down here from early. my missus will probably be there too so bring some folk down!

    • nick Easter epitomises the whole thing, trundling about with minimum flair and maximum ego. Compare (or dont) to Harry Nordokey

    • Or even to himself, two years ago. Something is badly wrong in that squad.

    • sad but true.

what are the chances that we'll pull an inspiring performance out of our arses against france next week that'll make everyone forget about us being shit. until next year.

either that or we'll get hoofed all over the park for 80 minutes and come out looking like a bunch of muppets.
    • Big SiBig Si
    • The latter might be preferable, just so no-one has got anywhere to hide.

      Once again sad but true!

I was pleased with our defence, but nothing more really. A very dull game and we need to be beating teams as shit as France. Once again, a massive lack of people taking the ball on at pace.

Nick Easter is no way an international no.8. Should've played Worsley there with Moody and Haskell to play on the flanks. Worsley has just come back from injury yet threw himself into everything far more than any other guy out there wearing white.

Armitage=well off the pace. Hopefully see Foden start next week. I have a funny feeling about an upset being on the cards somehow...

I kinda feel sorry for Jonno. Our 2nd row is just not upto scratch, Louis Deacon looking like a soggy magazine flapping in the wind. We're just an injury-hit, unambitious disappointment.

Richy baby - I shall be there nice and early if that is the order of the day! Can never start a super sat early enough! I'll try and encourage my mate Dave down, as he'll be a-watching somewheres anyway. Could you PM me an address or so please?

Anyone else up for joining us?

Care had a better game and Foden looks a class act. He needs to work on his upper body a bit, mind.

    • danny care?!?!?! DANNY FUCKING CARE?!?!?!?!? GOOD GAME?!?!??!?! FUCK OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ahem, sorry dudes. he has to be the worst scrum half ever. waspishness is good if it isn't so fucking predictable...and you see those two little steps he takes before flinging the ball out...every fucking time? speaking as an erstwhile scrum half, i would NEVER put my outside half in that position, as by the time i've released the ball the back row/defensive line are well on their way to mullering my no 10. that's why our attacking line stands so deep. which makes the gain line a further tean yards away.

it's all about the wind up off the floor or the dive pass. you don't have time to dance about like a fucking fairy with your ridiculous run ups.

      rant over.

      :lips:

    • Ha ha fair enough - the mighty spin pass is the reason I put Rob Jones in my fantasy 15. You have to admit Care is lightning quick and rattles defences, I have just started to notice his skills really. Is there a chicken and egg thing going on where our 10s and centres stand so far back waiting for drop goals blah blah that he ends up doing more jigerring around to compensate?
