    • Come for a drink after work Kev.

I'm off to Biohazard in a minute but probably off for some pints after. Chump metal woot.
    • mikemike
    • Chump metal indeed! I have no sympathy with those who pay for Rustlers burgers, let alone eat them.

    • apparently they play an '' intense fusion of the aggression of hardcore, punk and thrash metal with the socio-critical commentary and authenticity of hip-hop has earned the band extensive international acclaim. ''

I'd like to hear just one member of biohazard explain what a 'socio-critical commentary' is let alone spell it.

    • Also massive racists, but enjoy yourselves everyone :D

Erm, care to back that up? I'm not saying they're not, I'm just not aware of any evidence that they are.

Way ahead of their time, you're never more than 5 blocks from a Subway now

    • Si, Adam mentioned it, something to do with their first release?

    • Wikipedia claims:

"Their first demo tape, released in 1988, caused a stir with journalists who felt that the band's lyrics displayed certain fascist and white supremacist views, despite the fact that Seinfeld himself was Jewish. Accusations of racism in their music were strenuously denied by the band, but in later interviews, Seinfeld and Graziadei explained that it had all been a publicity stunt to win over the band Carnivore and their fans. Eventually, the songs in question were no longer played or even mentioned, and the band began preaching message of tolerance and anti-racism."

      Is the mystery solved?

    • Biohazard was "crucial". I went in "the pit". I lost my glasses within minutes of them coming on and spent the rest of their set totally blind.

Somehow Pete managed to find said glasses after the gig and they are miraculously unsmashed.

Everyone likes a pit story with a happy ending. I just stood at the back and bounced and pointed and that.
I didn't know that story about the Biohazard demo, the dafties. I'm trying to put myself in a theoretical position where I'd decide pretending to be a racist would make me more popular, but it's not working.
