    • Halloumi, sausages and flame-grilled peppers tonight.

Couldn't get Merguez, chorizo or anything remotely spicy, so this may be a bit dull.

    • Chuck a few chillies in a small bottle of olive oil and you have chilli oil

    • Is there anything you don't know?

Podge was talking about indie publishing ages ago - we should compile a Ninehertz cookbook. Or a culinary zine or something. My crab and chili linguine ftw.

    • My boss just brought me an Ice Cream :).

Im cooking pasta and some of other crap tonight.

    • I just had some pre dinner crisps to keep going on my walk home from work. They were made from salt and spuds.

With garlic oil and parsley I hope?

I'm an amateur chef and have a large collection of celebrity cookbooks, plus a few choice textbooks. Heston Blumenthal's Family Food is a really good look at the science of cooking

    • Rob HimselfRob Himself
    • My sausages were weird and most of the halloumi burnt. Grrr but tasty.
    • HopkinsHopkins
    • How did you manage to burn halloumi?
    • Rob HimselfRob Himself
    • left it in the oven a bit too long and the meltier bits burned. or it might have just been sausage fat, dunno.

      i rule.

i will probably don my chef's hat again soon but at the moment cookery is a source of antipathy for me.

    • I'm off to Netto to do actual shopping today. Having not had time for weeks I've been eating instant noodles with sweet chili sauce. I can eat anything if it's got sweet chili sauce on it.....it may be an addiction.

    • i'm perfecting a mean, mean ham sandwich at the moment

While my Dad was still working for Walkers they had a big meeting about distribution or some shit and the Big Boss asked what Netto was seeing as he'd never heard of it before.
Of course my Dad and about 5 others around the table all went "IT'S SCANDINAVIAN FOR VALUE" in a Sweedish accent.
      Oh the hilarity of meetings.

I had some Kellogs Mulitgrain Start for breakfast.
Yes, they still make it. Score one consumer!
