Ah, searched for them on MySpace, but could only find this band in Cali. Not bad actually! Anyone got a link for Bong? They would be decent to see in Sheff.
I've invited Moss, so we'll see how that goes. It'd be one hell of a sludgey line up should they be able to make it.
I'd love to invite Orange Goblin or Electric Wizard, but there's no way I have the resources for a band like that. Maybe one day...
Unfortunately, Orange Goblin's live schedule for
2008 is pretty much full as the band are about to start writing and
recording a new album. If you would like to book the band in 2009 please
contact me. The fee is £1200 plus full rider (attached).
the rider...........
- 48 x Bottles of Good Quality Export Strength Lager
- 1 x Bottle of Jim Beam Kentucky Bourbon
- 1 x Bottle of Absolut Vodka
- 2 x Bottles of good quality Red Wine
- 1 x Bottles of good quality White Wine
- 12 x Cans of Coca-Cola (NOT DIET)
- 3 x Cartons of Fresh Orange Juice
- 1 x case of small bottles of still mineral water
- A selection of crisps/chips, nuts and chocolate snacks
- A Platter of Fresh Fruit
- A selection of fresh sandwiches with various fillings
- A bucket of ice
- A selection of Clean Towels (minimum of 6)
- 12 x Small Glasses (more if plastic)
- A corkscrew for opening wine
- A buy-out fee of no less than £10 each for 6 people.
And those guys still work day jobs! I don't want to assume or nothing, but they must doing pretty well for themselves.
Tom, when you say Moss barely ever play live, might it be fair to assume I should also try elsewhere, rather than relying on them getting back to me with an answer?
as good as moss / bong are. you seem to be looking at two completely different ranges of bands when you are also talking of wizard and goblin.
that goblin rider / fee is over the top but then thats what happens when they start playing big festivals, they price them selves out of smaller shows.
oh and i have it on good authority that wizard will never tour again.
Jus did an interview when the last album came out saying he didn't like touring but would maybe do a few one off dates. they have done chuff all for the release of this new album, surely that would be prime time?
don't think if i was in a band i'd like it much myself.
and i'd travel a good way to see them and so would most fans so why not minimise the effort? how long have they been together in some form anyway, fifteen years?
