What would you ask TONY IOMMI? (Interview up now)

    • DonnyDonny
    • Not a question, but I went to uni with his manager. Super hot and a lovely lady.

      Tell her I said hi.

Ask him for 'tache grooming tips, then give him a shit in a box.

      Hopkins says:
How did he feel about that whole 40th birthday of "metal" being awarded to their eponymous debut?

Does the Midlands deserve more recognition for the birth of "metal"?

      These are good, thanks!

Even better considering that Iommi has put ina lot of effort with a group dedicated to rewarding the Midlands for precisely this. Link here - th guys in Capsule in Brum put a lot of effort into this as they do all their other gigs, Supersonic fest etc

      www.homeofmetal.com/

Definitely try to sell him a Loud Howls ticket! I reckon he'd love Koresh...

      everybody loves koresh.

      slap him if he don't.
    • MarekMarek
    • Yeah he'd love talking about the Home of Metal I reckon.

I'm keen to know his fave ever riff of his own, and one he didn't write but wish he had.

      Good plan. Riffs r kool.

If all else fails, just say nothing and giggle like a blushing school-girl...I'm sure he'll understand...
    • OllieOllie
    • Ask him why he stole all my riffs!!!!
    • GarethGareth
    • Jack says:
Ask him what made them decide to start tuning lower, cos it was a great idea

Apparently Ozzy couldn't hit certain notes so they tuned down to accomodate him. That's what I read aaages ago anyway.
    • BenBen
    • I thought it was something to do with it being less painful on his fingers when it was tuned down?
    • bluesoulbluesoul
    • Yeah he sliced the tips off apparently, so it was more comfortable to play at a lower tension... pussy....
    • MarekMarek
    • Yeah exactly
    • WickedWesticleWickedWesticle
    • Marek says:
      Yeah exactly

      So how was he?
    • MarekMarek
    • It was just when Sabbath were starting to kick off a bit so late 67 I think... young.

I'm doing the interview tomorrow at 2:45. Feeling pretty ready.

Not sure I sent this Bill Ward one round I did, I had no time to prepare and the intro is way over the top about Invasion but...
      Bill Ward

Bill: Before you go, I’ve really enjoyed talking with you. I hope I get to meet you. I’d really love for you to send me some CDs of your band. I would love to hear where you’re coming from, especially after hearing who your influences are for God’s sake! I’d love to hear what you’re doing." Please stay in touch. Give me a call whenever you like. We can connect up. Take care of yourself and stay strong. You mean a lot. You guys out there mean an awful lot.END
