    • Sigur Ros were pretty awesome last night. It might not have rocked as hard as Grifter and Koresh, but good all the same.

      we'll sell our end matey..
      and we'll beat you...
      you spirite shite! ;)

wrong again! 3-1. The staggies didn't play that bad though, just shit infront of goal.

They put an announcement out at the game as some cfc fan called Andrew Field was getting married straight after the game.

    • today - loading in & out Motorhead, supported by Saxon at the Carling Academy (Roxy). fuck me, this is going to sound very L7, but is there any need for all that PA!? its not the biggest venue. I feel like an overly coiled & worn spring! Plus all i've done since a month ago is work, 7 days off in total over 1.5 months. Hurray for money!

back there at 10.30 for the out :s

    • Aggrolites was cancelled. Boo.
Went to mates Friday night and played PES and Guitar Hero. Yay.
Less Than Jake and a drunken night of Sailor Jerry and gratuitously hugging everyone in sight. Yay. Lady couldn't make it though. Boo.
      Did nothing yesterday.
Rancid tonight. As predicted no-one I know is going. Boo. Knew I should have gone to the Sheffield gig!

    • Work last night, was hungry before i went to work so had a bacon sandwich. Was starving up until dinner, at 1am was told that not only now is there no till on a sunday night but also we can only have what's in the canteen vending machine, last week we were able to pay for our food on monday but someone grassed up/sucked ass, so i had a bag of crisps, a wispa and a yogurt, fucking shit, the only ready meals in the vending machine were cheap value shit and there were some sandwiches that were made on saturday.

Also now because one person from another store had the shits while they were on holiday and infected 6 people when they returned to work now everyone on the day before they start back at work after being sick or a holiday has to ring the store to say they are fit to return to work and fill a questionaire when they get through the door to say they haven't had the shits. That doesn't just apply to people who work with fresh food but everyone including trolley pushers. So when i'm off for a week at the end of the month i have to ring work on the saturday to say i'll be back sunday and fill one in, what a wank idea!

I had a dream today that i was driving down the road (which has recently been changed to a 40mph limit from a 60) i overtook a car and then got done for speeding. The copper didn't have a camera, and i doubted that he could see what i was doing, i filled a form in to say what happened after a lengthy (about an hour) discussion and he told me i'd get three points on my licence but didn't say anything about a fine. I even had to stick the stamp on the envelope for him so he could send the letter off about my offence.

you should have done, it was fully party. what happened to the aggrolites?
    • alanalan
    • The ever knowledgeable Rescue Rooms bar staff couldn't tell me too much about Aggrolites, but I think due to lack of interest they cancelled it a day before. Might have helped if they'd promoted it, had tickets available in City more than a week before, mentioned the cancellation on their website, or made use of the fact that Rock City always take your number when you buy a ticket.

Rancid were pretty good as always.

who needs a forum search when it's just as easy to type ninehertz and the words you are looking for into google.

I thought that was familiar... read in the local rag tonight that CFC supporter, Andrew Field, 40, got community service for thumping a 16 year old at a recent match as the younster was chanting "rico out" and taunting former keeper Barry Roche and Mr Field couldn't take things anymore. Got to be the same man surely.

    • I saw Dylan Moran tonight.
It was good but not as funny as I was expecting.
Bumped into Danny T nd his girlfriend from my old band and had a quick chat at the interval.
Turns out Tom had a nervous breakdown but he's ok now.

Slackers, I might nip into town before the Flatlands gig, so text me your whereabouts, as it'd be nice to catch up for a swift half

    • Tonight - Head to Southampton for a weekend with Laur's parents.

2% chance of it being a fun weekend but only if I shit myself on the sofa.

    • Who needs new weekend thread when we can just re-use old ones, that's my efforts of recycling and saving the planet for this week. (ok maybe not).

tonight i'm going to watch a football match in my hometown against Bournemouth. They have won just once away from home all season and that was back around october time. So in typical fashion i think we'll draw 2-2 in front of a hostile negative crowd as that's pretty much what we have to play infront of every game at saltergate. No wonder we tend to do better away from home.

Tomorrow i plan to go to boulty's studio to the gig. Just unsure as to how to get there yet. I fancy bussing it (or driving) and probably staying over until sunday, but as i walked into a chair the other day and suspect i've broken my toe i feel like a should be cautious (totally forgot how to spell that then!!) on the driving front. But i wouldn't mind a couple or three beers, dilemma #785.

    • Tonight - eat beans on toast. No further plans.

Tomorrow - work for a few hours, do stuff, flatlands etc gig, maybe Rock City, but it's likely to be rammed as it's ghey ghey ghey launch night.

Sunday - I rediscovered the joy of pub Sunday lunch last week, so this may well happen again.

    • Tonight - out for a bite to eat and a few beers in town.
