The services of a solicitor to do surveys and searches on my potential new house.

Surveys are great. Mine told me about a drain that flooded in the 70s, a garage 500 yards away on the other side of a big hill. But, ya know, it could maybe explode. And that there was mining locally. I think the huge slag heap 200 yards away may have been a giveaway.

      Money well spent.

    • They get things like that in Hartlepool seeing as all the new houses are built on the old land fill site now.
They seem to have forgotten that landfill site might mean contaminated land.
They are currently digging up everyones gardens to "fix it".
Our survey was run of the mill. Seeing as its built where old council houses were theres probably nothing more than a few dead pets in the ground.

    • Just bought some brackets off that there ebay so I can actually mount the parcel shelf in my car properly.

      Keeping my eyes open for:
Some cheap alloy wheels (and I mean cheap)
Some replacement door locks (they still work but one sides outer part is busted from when my brother had it and some Sleafordian goon tried to break in but failed, loser)
Then there's the cog thats part of the drivers side electric window as some of the teeth are missing and its jerky as hell and getting worse.
And a replacement rear window as only 3 of the heating element work. This is annoying as hell in winter.
And most importantly of all (as Mike has witnessed) a new handbrake cable.
If anyone has a mate with a knackered peugeot 205, hook me up

Pre-ordered Spore aswell and Warhammer online:Age of reckoning.

    • so basically you want a new car minus a couple of parts. I worked with a lad a few years back who bought a mini to do it up, he then bought a second mini to get the parts off of, the problem was that the parts one was in better nick than the first one he bought. Those were the days, each night he used to explain to me in great detail about what he'd been doing that day, most of it went over my head, all i remember is something about rust and tonnes of plastic padding.

We used to call him strap-on as he used to wear a snap-on t-shirt. Another memeory of him is when he drove us to download and he spoke what i think is the bonus track of the stonesour album out word for word

I bought a case to put my mobile in yesterday, yes i am scared in case the next time i get pissed i lose it again, i want something so it doesn't move about so much in my pocket.

i'm quite fond of my zr, so much so that i can't for the life of me decide on what i want when i swap it. If only there was something about two year newer, sporty but not too pricey, with a similar level of trim and performance but can't find something i really like, i'll probably end up with a new clio.

Grande punto looks the best option but fiat has a reputation for being shit, plus there's only one model i'd go for (1.9 multijet diesel) and i can't afford it currently. the pot of money isn't going to get much better as mine is due a service and MOT in a couple of weeks

last night i purchased: Chickenhawk's album, naked shit 'the legend of the hightown crow' & a white mirimar t-shirt.

    • I was looking at 205 GTi's but they are:
      A) Older than my car
      B) Usually falling appart more than my car
      C) Cost a fortune as they are in decent condition

I'd love a 206 GTi cos my mate had one years ago when they first came out and it was fucking awesome. Still out my price range though :(

Spore turned up so I shall commence playing it :D
