I am currently experimenting with sleep deprivation and will probably continue my research into the weekend.
I feel surprisingly energetic.
I'm currently trying to catch up on sleep, i keep waking after 6 hours though so it's not really working. Plus i'm just generally sick of getting stuff wrong recently, think i need a good course of memory food.
Friday- I cooked for the lady as my canaian got mixed up on his flight tmes.
Saturday- canadian arrives play a garden show in London, also hopefully my album promo's should arrive today fingers crossed.
Sunday- get up early drive to Norwich and do a radio show, then drive to brighton play at somewhere called joggleberry's theatre. Drive back geta few hours sleep before we fly to german.... Rock on!
first home match of the season - was looking forward to it but we played completely shit. 1-0 down after 4 minutes, 3-0 down at half time and it took an ear bashing at half time for the players to look like they wanted to win the game. so into three games the crowd are already on the managers back, with many fans already chanting rico out, oh goody, the joys of being a spireite. Virtually all the team were useless in the first half and bury looked miles better. We only have 3 strikers, lester got injured and we brought a midfielder on as a replacement and the striker on the bench must not be good enough?? 5 minutes from end rico brought on a centre back to play up front, but that was 10 minutes later than it should have been to make an impact.
That was a weird old night, mini-party at Petes, quite well-attended gig for a Sheffield sludge/stoner night at the Shakey, then pizza and X-factor when I got in, awesome.
White Fang were my fave band last night, amazing, shortly followed by the 'Witz, who were probably the best I've seen them, Fletch is awesome.
Really enjoyed clutch tonight, it's really put me on a high, i think it was the right decision not listening to any albums for a fair while cos it meant i enjoyed hearing them live more. I like the latest album alot more than i did previous tour, but the mix, i felt, was right, maybe they could have played more earlier stuff, but - although it's hard to pick favourite albums - blast tyrant and robot hive are two of mine. Didn't recognise the two tracks they played during the encore ??
Only downside to the evening was beginning, doors were said to open at 7pm, i got there for about 20 past, fair sized queue, went to dev cat but no one who i knew so got in queue as i noticed it was moving at that point, a couple of minutes later Taint started playing - while most people were still outside, much like the notts gig last tour, so Taint started playing to a small crowd. Glad i didn't have that pint in the cat. It could be said that starting about 7.25 when the doors are at 7pm is fair, but not 5 minutes after people started going in.
other than that apart from me feeling too out of it and thoughtful while Taint were on stage it was a very grand evening.
Good to see people as well, it feels like an age since i've been down sheff!
I enjoyed them. They could've played more pre-Blast Tyrant (4 songs I think - Elephant Riders, Soapmakers, Slow Hole to China, One Eye Dollar) and the jams were boring, but the highs are still higher than that of any other band live for me - Burning Beard probably the best bit. And Fallon was on great form.
It was a good gig but I wouldnt have minded a drink
I didnt quite get the Jazz Oddesey thing, went on for a bit long in my oppinion. Still enjoyed it though.
Nice to see a few of you wise guys aswell

Which were the tracks that they played for the encore btw?
