apparently the new tangaroa stuff is heads and tails better than anything they have recorded. its only live at the min(or so i hear) i really am looking forward to seeing and playing with all the bands and this line up.

    • Tangaroa did indeed screw Ian over. I was a huge fan....but not any more.

Maybe the HOG people should be allowed access to the Promoters only section. Its always done a good job of ensuring that Corp, Ninehertz, and Team Tall don't clash gigwise. If they're gonna put on similar - ish gigs it would make sense.

    • makes sense stocky. cheers

Yes good idea. HogTeam you should now be able to see the promoters forum.

    • Wow! Ok, Matt redstars speaks sense! Don’t gossip about things you don’t really know anything about..

The tangaroa/Ian situation did get pretty shit but the band saw it coming a mile off and warned ian about the consequences but he didn’t listen.....
It was to do with a situation between Si(drummer) and something which Ian chose to do knowing that it would potentially jeopardise his future in the band. He obviously ignored the bands advice about his own actions - resulting in him having to leave the band!! Simple as! ...But Ian didn’t leave it there, obviously bitter about being "forced out of the band" he joined a musicians union in order to flight for 20% of the band, quite an ambitious amount of money seeing as he was only in the band one year in comparison to tangaroa's 10year history and he never contributed to writing any of the songs...
Ians bass tracks for the album were deleted so that legally and morally he didn’t have leg to stand on! They were re-recorded by the two tangaroa guitarists..
Ian did have the option of accepting that he could no longer stay in the band and be proud of playing on an awesome album but obviously money/20% of tangaroa meant more to him! Very unfortunate situation!

So there you go, some facts for your gossip!

      indeed, wow !

i guess him screwing his own drummers ex missus, when the band had pre warned him it would not lead to good places, put strains on relations in the band etc

then asking for 20% of what we make off the record or we can't use his bass tracks, obviously because were going too make millions from this album being the huge mainstream band that we are, with our porsche and 12 bedroomed cribs

we said it was best he left as he carried on with what we had warned about, we re-recorded, left it at that.

where ? may i politely ask does that show, we screwed him over ?

i don't usually rise to stuff like this, but really what has been said about us here has pissed me off

fuck punk rock ethics though hey, lets just do it for money and not give a fuck about your friends first, seems to be certain peoples way of thinking

and if you only come to gigs for gossip rather than the love for music, you wont be personally missed in my eyes, i was your fan, not anymore, so to speak

rant over, apologies, look forward to rocking with the maul and seeing all the mint dudes who support us in sheff !

They were great at that Corp all-dayer last summer too. I wasn't expecting much and was pleasently surprised.

      Bring on Tangaroa!!

    • I really wanted to go to this, but Bishop has draughted me in to house sit at his pad. Hes been having a bit of bother with local types damaging his Aston, and found a little scally trying to nick off with the wheels of his Ferrari 430. Not to mention the bother with having 7 of his 13 bedroom windows smashed.
Should be a good gig though.
