The rest of the album's better, eh? Consider my appetite whetted.
The gig with Alunah was a bit of a mixed bag. They were great as usual but the organisation of the gig was pretty shambolic.
Last minute change of venue, unknown extra band added to the bill who didn't have any equipment, we couldn't go on until 12:45 (by which time half the band were pissed), constant vocal mic feedback during our set...
we'll put it down to experience. At least we got paid though!

Hmm, sounds like fun mate...that's what we do in bands though, keep hammering on through the shit with a drink in hand!!!
What's the score with that other place in Worcester?

It's a real shame, the Pig & Drum has been through more ups and downs than Alton Towers.
When it's had the chance to run gigs, it's been pretty good. It was always Worcester's main rock pub and tended to have a ready made audience for rock/ metal/ punk gigs but they have recently lost their live music licence and been taken over by an owner who seems intent on turning it into a trendy wine bar type of affair.
I asked the DJ in there a couple of weeks ago if they were looking to re-apply for a live music licence and put gigs on. He said possibly but given that he was flicking through a pile of CDs from the likes of Adele, Duffy and Robbie Williams, the future doesn't look too promising.
I am pissed off because we had a string of great gigs there last year and the old management were keen to establish it as a venue and wanted to work together to get more touring/ visiting bands to play.
The search for suitable venues in this part of the country continues...
Yet another killer review of the album...we must get a bad one soon!!!
That sounds like a man tempting fate.
Try sending a copy to the NME if you want a bad review. You haven't got wonky haircuts and 80s synths; they'll hate you.

Yeah could do...I've hated the NME ever since the 80's so I wouldn't really care what they said.
We do have some nice Classic Rock related news coming soon.
