     They are desperate to get rid of tickets. I've come across dozens of people who have won tickets. There was one competition, where they were offering tickets to the top 100 in suggestions for things to put in the Sonisphere time capsule, and then they decided 'fuck it, we'll give all entrants a free ticket'.

   • Not enough to make it exciting after download I guess. If they get the facilities better and the sound etc then they may win people over, hopefully. More rock festivals is always good

   • I'm going for the Sunday and I may see if I can get a day ticket for Sat as well as I want to see Heaven and Hell...
     
     The festival looks OK on paper, but I think they made a few mistakes with the line up. Replace Bullet for my Valentine, Linkin Park, Avenged Sevenfold and Limp Bizkit with Muse, Deep Purple, Motorhead and Cathedral and you'd have something really good on your hands. Still, Metallica/AIC/Saxon/NIN/Killing Joke make the Sunday worthwhile enough for me.

   • This was awesome. even though I was working I got to watch some bands and the feel of the festival was really good. Mastodon were pretty awesome and Metallica was loads of fun, i went and headbanged with cornish friends and watched James Hetfield getting covered in custard pies and silly string, I kid you not.

    • AIRBOURNE pretty much ruled it, climbing the PA tower in the rain to play a guitar solo, swinging from the top, almost slipping about 20ft up, climbing back down and coming straight back into a riff, that ladies and gentleman is rock and roll
