There's a great car park behind West Street Live, opposite the turn for Trippet Lane down the hill and it's always reasonable. Secured as well, you get into the whole building with your ticket.
Edit: Cos I wouldn't leave my car out in the street round there, taxis regularly crash into parked cars round Dev Green.
3 for me, pay in, see what's happening, and if it doesn't start for a little while after that, pop round to Washy for a pint first. Do you want to meet somewhere first?
Trudger were brilliantly dark and a good mix of doom and sludge.
Tree of Sores were ace, they stood out from the rest of the bill nicely, and the singer looks like Chris Kaye a lot.
Iron Witch sounded like Eyehategod.
Dead Existence were good, in a menacing brooding way.
Moloch were great as ever.
Meadows were surprisingly good - I had them down as a bit more brutal deathy type band that might get a bit lumbersome, but I was wrong.
Wizard's Beard were SLUDGE.
And that was it for me, as old age, middle of the night wake ups, the fact that I was the only one drinking who had been there most of the day, and the fact that I had arrived for the scheduled start time of 3 only to find doors locked and it had been put back to 4.30 so I went and drank Guinness in the Bath Hotel and Green Room on my own... Gutted I missed Conan and Slabdragger in particular but I think I'd have fallen asleep stood up had I stayed.
I don't know if Jacknife were having a bad day or summat, but they were poor. Meadows were cool, so were Gurt. Slabdragger were fucking IMMENSE, especially when they kept it slow, reminded me of Ocean Chief which is a very good thing. Still not sold on Conan after I think the 4th time of seeing them. Good do overall, hopefully a sign of things to come in Sheffield.
I left during Jackknife Holiday too, it was all running too far behind for me to stick around. Trudger, Meadows and Gurt were the standout bands for me.
