    • Neurosis and Electric Wizard? That's a bit tasty innit?

...hold on, have any Metal Hammer readers heard of those two bands?

I spent £4.25 on Metal Hammer this morning to read the 5 line Groan review. I should have just read it in the shop. :). I have not bought Metal Hammer in ages (I get Classic Rock Magazine on subscription).

    • what does the review say about groan?
    • MazzMazz
    • The Groan bit is short so I shall type it.

"It's all doom and gloom in a remote corner of Camden tonight. Well, doom at least. GROAN (7) have more than enough Sabbathian riffage to keep the most miserable of doomesters happy."

To celebrate I wrote a new Groan song this morning..called BLACK DEATH...it's about the BLACK DEATH

I hear the tolling to the bell
It fills me full of dread
For I could be the next to fall
      And join the thousands dead
It came to us from overseas
      The power of God’s wrath
      Reminding us we must obey
      And keep his righteous path

Go now! Go far! Stay long!
Be afraid of Black Death’s song
Go now! Go far! Stay long!
Be afraid of Black Death’s song

It kills all men both rich and poor
It does not draw the line
The harvest fails and children cry
Good souls have turned to crime
Of what I knew, now is no more
      For people lose their minds
What point is there of working hard?
I’ll drink wine ‘till I die.

Go now! Go far! Stay long!
Be afraid of Black Death’s song
Go now! Go far! Stay long!
Be afraid of Black Death’s song

      (MIND BLOWING SOLO)

Go now! Go far! Stay long!
Be afraid of Black Death’s song
Go now! Go far! Stay long!
Be afraid of Black Death’s song
Go now! Go far! Stay long!
Be afraid of Black Death’s song
Go now! Go far! Stay long!
Be afraid of Black Death’s song

    • I was half-jesting about Metal Hammer. I check their website quite a bit actually, they just seem to cater for the meathead end of the metal spectrum a bit much for me.

    • I like reading it and subscribe as it's decent value. They are starting to cover some really wank bands though like Ask Alexandria and Delain.

    • Same, but i do get abit over excited when they review any of the Doom or Stoner bands i like i must admit!

    • I haven't read Metal Hammer since the rotten bastards started sealing it in plastic (WHSmith= library).
