Well after a long sojourn in the US finally get back to the UK and my feet haven't touched the ground. Started a booking agency to see if it is possible to increase the amount of touring bands coming to the UK, and so far it doesn't look too bad, but I'm digressing...okay so after a long period away from these isles Asteroid are planning to come back and intend to play from the Monday 31st - 5th June, that's a monday to a saturday. Saturday is almost certainly going to London and Friday may possibly be Brighton, but I need some shows up north..so come on people put your best foot forward and message me with offers, a Nottingham or Sheffield show would be great as would a Leeds show. Of course in the meantime I will keep you posted on how things progress. There is a guarantee involved as well. Cheers, Pete
that's a bloody good question, okay well its a bit more complicated than you might first anticipate: The umbrella organisation is going to be called Axis Music Syndicate, the reason for this is because it encompasses many things at once, there is the archiving with a view to publishing material about bands from the seventies and late sixties, as you know Jack we have Elias Hulk on board, Jerusalem and Edgar Broughton Band, of course its early days but this aspect of the project will be called Axis Music Productions and will take into consideration the release of DVDS featuring footage of some of these bands from back in the day as well as working on a documentary. Then we have the agency, Axis Music Agency, we have already Coffins who will be booking a European tour for in 2011, Brothers of the Sonic Cloth (Tad from sub-pop band Tad's new band), Acid King for the Uk territory, Dusted Angel (from LA they feature members from the old hardcore band Blast, as well as Spacemen and Gargatuan), Shining Ones (Seattle based band featuring Dan from Asva and Lesbian), Ocean (from Maine) and lastly Elias Hulk...so there is some stuff to be working on for the future. Then of course we hope to upgrade the Black Axis label to a record label that is involved in releasing some of the material by these bands. Then the screen printing and even van rental...so there is alot to be getting on with.
yeah we certainly have some plans, working towards getting Elias Hulk to play Unchained in almost its entirety, having a meeting next week with Jim Haines to discuss the possibility of this as well as getting started on writing and archiving the Elias Hulk story. Also working on Lori to get Acid King to tour the UK, but first and foremost I need to see if I can work something out for Asteroid, also looking to getting over Kongh if they aren't asking too much and at some other point Monarch, although they look they are extremely busy in the first half of 2010. But yeah I need to get this Asteroid tour in place before anything else....
the problem being how to cover their costs, I've already had an offer to pay them a pretty significant sum for a london show, but that would only cover the price of just over one ticket
