    • What you up this year? I normally go to Avebury stones but this year I’m going to a hill (Solsbury Hill) behind my house that used to ‘sport’ an Iron Age hill fort.

      This is my plan

      1. Friends come to my house Saturday night twix the hours of 11pm and 12am and watch some hammer horror or Wickerman, drink wine and hit the hash pipe.
      2. Head up Solsbury hill at 2am for more wine and hash pipes
      3. 4 am ish Watch the sun rise and dance for the SUN GOD.
      4. 6am go home to bed until about 1pm on Sunday afternoon.
      5. BBQ at friends house at 3pm.

I have booked Monday off work.

      PAGAN ROCK AND ROLL HERO.

    • Friday: girlfriend's cousin's wedding reception in Portsmouth. Chain self to buffet table and lament having to drive.
Saturday: work and then tidy flat and do some packing.
      Sunday: in-laws round for lunch.

      Fun.

    • Tonight - playing cricket. Seemed to have been roped in to captain as all the usual suspects aren't playing.

Tomorrow - work, then two of my uni mates turning up for the night. Probably go for a Thai and a few beers.

Saturday - down to Swanage for another uni mate's stag do. Apparently they've rented a converted barn for the weekend. Not sure what we're actually doing while we're there.

Sunday - come home and go to my mate's daughter's 1st birthday party.

    • It's always depressing, in a way, when someone mentions summer solstice because it means the nights are going to start drawing in when it feels like they've only just started getting summery and warm.
I'm working till 8 - 8 shift on Friday and Saturday but when I get home I'm going to have a fire in my new fire bucket and drink some Ginger beer as I'm still off the loudmouth soup.
Peace , silence and fire are lovely.
I have the whole house to myself for the next 7 days it's f'ing marvellous.
I'd love to live alone in my own place.

    • That sounds well good, Kev. I think I might get my own firebucket, I'd like to sit in the garden of an evening with just me and a small inferno. I'd ban Podge and Andy from looking at it.

    • This weekend I saw Karma to Burn, Down, Eyehategod, Torche, Kylesa, Jarboe, Samael, God Seed, Soulfly, Gojira, Machinehead, Pain, Clutch, Mastodon, Suicidal Tendencies, Wolves in the Throne Room, Ufomammut, Orange Goblin, Coalesce, Electric Wizard, Amon Amarth, and bits of a few other bands.

I can think of worse weekends.

    • Man I can't stop thinking just how fucking cool EW were on Sunday. I mean, I've seen em about 5 times before but they just blew me away... seriously that might be the best live performance I've ever seen. I'm still stunned.
