    • Does anyone know anywhere good for putting on shows in London that aren't the Grosvenor or The Unicorn? What was the name of that pub Koresh played at last year? The one round the corner from The Barfly

    • South of the Border is quite cool, its in old street but wasnt silly and trendy. Keith, KBY rocks sorts gigs there

    • Depends what you're looking for. The one that Ahymsa used Fiddlers Elbow might be the one you mean, twas a cool layout and vibe.

The Monarch is the nasty modern pub close to Barfly.

I really like The Old Blue Last that I use a lot. Nowhere else does it for me that much, but obviously there are a lot around.

I keep meaning to check out South of the Border. Heard good things. A psych night called Night of the Long Swords is there (same day as Skill Wizard each month!)

Catch is pretty good, also in Old Street.

    • fiddler's elbow is a good layout and sound's pretty sweet. only thing is, it's a bit of a schlepp from chalk farm and people think it's a bit rough so encouraging anyone to come along can be a hassle.

upstairs at the enterprise in chalk farm can be hired by all accounts.

    • Yeah I say South of the Border. Keith is a nice guy and the venue is cool. I dunno what the Hope n Anchor is like nowadays. Played there a couple of years ago and it was pretty cool - nice dark basement type location.

apparently it's still got that vibe. i've played there once but the stage wasn't big enough for all of us so i had to stand next to the door and let people in and out, wedging it open with my foot for larger parties.

dunno how you'd go about playing there. prob have to contact a promoter direct.
