    • JackJack
    • I want something to make weird noises with, don't want to spend much money, if anyones got anything let me know. Think Hawkwind type spacey noise

    • Where's that tumbleweed pic?

Think you'll have to put up with me and my nintendo DS with the korg synth on it!

    • I have a Auntie Cynth

    • I'm up for the ds action, but I also have a vision of running a synth on an ab pedal through my pedal board. So I can switch between guitar and synth. Microkorg is looking good but costs about 200 second hand. How much is a DS?

what kind of synth is it?

    • In one o' my other bands the singer uses a kaos pad and kaoscillator and runs a mic though it all. He gets some pretty bonkers sounds so you'd probably be able to whack a guitar though that set up too I guess.

    • Its a yamaha CS 5... makes some good sounds... Let us know if your up for a jam again sir... I'll bring the synth up from Dorset at some point too.

Gibby from the Butthole Surfers was using one of these when we saw them at All Tomorrows Parties...very cool sounding thing, lots of nice lights. He was using it more as a pitch shifter kind of thing though.

    • Yeah I've no idea how it works but this guy has them both hooked up to each other and his mic and he can do some wicked stuff with it.
    • JackJack
    • yeah they can do some awesome stuff indeed. I would quite like something standalone though not running through the guitar. I'm looking into this ds idea, can get a secondhand one from game for £60 and the Korg software for like £20 and hella easy to carry to gigs. Run it through my pedal board so I can add delay and still going through the valves
