Depeche Mode

    • Probably talking to myself here, but how good are this band?

I'm not talking about the earlier poppy stuff when that bloke from Erasure was in them.

I prefer the darker stuff when the singer was obviously on smack. Black Celebration, Music For The Masses, Violator, Songs Of Daith & Devotion and Ultra are fantastic albums.

      I just can't get enough

    • Toss apart from Just Cant Get Enough, when they are pretentious its a bit unbearable. OK Blasphemous Rumours is OK but mostly its just wannabe gay goth disco

    • DEPECHE MODE ARE THE GREATEST BAND EVER.

And you know those people who say 'Theyre like my favourite band' but they are actually not.........THESE REALLY ARE THE GREATEST BAND EVER.

Also Genghis Trons favourite band. Theres so much of their music in alot of heavy stuff but you wouldnt even notice it. Alot of people have covered their tunes. Such as Converge and In Flames and various other artists.

Simply brilliant in my eyes. And yes, the poppy stuff is a bit guff, so thats why he had to go. And there is always a theme through every album. From Being spannered to being aware , confronting solidarity and your demons.

And if you listen to 'I just cant get enough' that can be a cross referance to being smashed out your head too. Smack pop.

You want to hear Failure's cover of that song.
If you've not heard of Failure, they're the band that Cave In are inspired by the most

    • Anyone who likes Depeche Mode should watch the film 'Head On'. One of my favourite films ever, and has some excellent use of DM in the soundtrack.

It's pretty dark, but it's also pretty fucking awesome.

    • Yeah, Depeche Mode are frickin' awesome. I've got the Best of.. CDs and a few other albums on CD and Vinyl. The 86-98 double CD is top quality from start to finish.:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:
