   • I've been signed up for a low key stag do in Amsterdam in a couple of weeks (i can't go to the proper one in Poland, where they will be mostly shooting cows with anti-aircraft guns).
     
     I've down the sit-in-coffeeshops-all-weekend experience, but slightly bored of that now. Does anyone have any reccomendations in the way of bars, restaurants, museums/galleries, parks...heavy metal disco's!?
     
     Found a bar called Excaliburs...which is my first port of call.

     Also, where is the main drag...sorry that could be misinterpreted...the main strip...shit, that too! Where is the main area for touristy bars?

   • Yeah I went to that excalibur place. It was full of hells angels but we sat there for a few hours had a few spliffs, beers and listened to motorhead whilst watching kung fu films on the tvs and were quite happy. Not bad.

     Hurts me to say it, but went to the Erotic Museum and got porned-out. Never thought it would happen!

   • Last time i went I stayed around the leidseplein area and found it a nice alternative to the scumbag english cunt overrun top of the town....red light district etc.
     Lots to do round there and some nice bars, coffee shops, etc.

    • I was in the dam in Nov last year and stayed next to the Melkweg (near Leidensplein) and managed to get tickets for the evening show, which just happened to be Gov't Mule, score!!
      Really nice coffee shops around the Leidensplein area, and lovely walks along the canal.
      
      bearing in mind you guys will be a big stag group, all I'll say is.. watch out for the trams, they are deathly silent!
