Thanks loads Jack - was awesome!! I've got a video also of their set from the 2nd song in - I'll put it up at some point!! Think I scared the guys in Roadsaw... awesome people though!! Wasn't one band I disliked - everyone was wicked!!
Unexpected visit to a karaoke night doubled with the cold I have had all week gave me the irrational wobbles on Sunday. I’m still not right…I feel insane. I dreamt a gang of people chased me on mopeds last night. I awoke with a sweaty back and kicked Laura.
I'm retiring form Rock and Roll as it's driving me nuts.
I also thought Lasers From Atlantis were realy good. Might not of been everybodys cup of tea and they seemed to have some technical issues (effects stopped working at points i think) but i will be looking to go to another one of their shows in the future.
Also, my first time at "the gaff". Nice venue. Will look to play there in autumn i think.....
so who were peoples favourite bands. Or if someone can write a review that would be to notch
1. Roadsaw for the sheer rock n roll ness and VOLUME
2. Ten Ton Tabby for the riffs and the singers grins
3. Lasers From Atlantis for playing doom using synths through amps (I'm not a fan of backs to the audience though - very rude)
4. White Lightning for the singer diving through the guitarists legs and basically writing old school DC riffs.
I'm glad White Lightning went down ok, it was only their second gig, they were pretty nervous, but they just make me laugh, seeing them on Sunday in harrow, smaller crowd. Lasers were cool, I think they divided opinion a bit but thats a good thing. I loved Roadsaw for the volume and kicking that dude off the stage. Tabby were very rockin, as were grifter. Actually I liked everyone, was awesome
I'm not sure what to pinpoint. Roadsaw were awesome, Crumbling Ghost sounded pretty interesting, Trippy were cool, Tabby sounded sweet, Alunah are always top class as far as I'm concerned and Lasers From Atlantis had some interesting stuff going on once the guy stopped yelping.
I thoroughly enjoyed playing, one of the most fun gigs we've done and it was lovely to have the Grifter choir up there.
