the end of mr. y - scarlett thomas

very interesting. as with 99.9% of all books though, the ending was disappointing.

I don't understand how you've finished that already. I'm the world's slowest reader.

I'm still reading The little Friend, which is a massive book but it's taking me forever. It's a damn good book but I wouldn't say an easy read.

yeah, i once had a job that was a forty minute bus ride away, i read so much that year!

keep picking stuff up and not finishing it at the moment, about half way through "a tale etched in blood and hard black pencil" by christopher brookmyre. tis quite good but not as gripping as "a big boy did it and ran away".

    • Reading on the way to/from work is awesome but I'm pleased I walk to work.

I just started 'Riot Grrrl: Revolution Girl Style Now', a collection of essays and memorabilia of the Riot Grrrl movement.

It's very exciting. I have been looking forward to reading it since my birthday.

    • I'd walk to Barnsley if I could, it would save the £60 a month it costs!

    • Ploughing through making Money by Terry Pratchett but keep getting sidelined by Classic Rock magazine. Don't get to read too much with a baby in the house demanding attention.

    • loadsa tattoo mags and the london compendium which is a guide book to our fair capital with all the boring bits about pizza hut and musicals removed and interesting stuff about the hellfire club, soho gangsters and murder put in.

it's more of a street by street history and it's FASCINATING.

Yeah, its awesome. A lot to it, definately looking forward to giving it a second read. Not sure how a film version will really do it any justice.

      Ding!

Reading Tony Pollard's 'Minutes of The Lazarus Club' and it's pretty ace so far - it's like Jack the Ripper with Brunel, Babbage and Darwin and people in it. Victorian awesomeness.
