     Big Spaceship Presents an evening of fast and impenetrable hardcore in the vein of....
     
     OBLITERATIONS (US, Southern Lord)
     Hailing from the iconic shores of Los Angeles, California, these guys bring with them charred flurries of metallic hardcore punk. Obliterations are nothing like their other bands (notably Black Mountain, Saviours and Night Horse) but will no doubt make a sizable dent on your preconceptions. Their sound emanates a specific nostalgia likened to early Black Flag, Discharge and Negative Approach but with the heavy intensity of 70s hard rock like Mc5 or The Stooges.
     Having just been added to the Southern Lord roster and played shows with the likes of The Body, Lecherous Gaze, Deafheaven and Kylesa, 2014 has shaped up to be quite the year for these guys. Well oiled wouldn't be the words.
     They have just recorded their debut full length for Southern Lord this past March at Dave Grohl's 'Studio 606' (Bl'ast!, COC, etc) with Chris Owens (Young Widows, Coliseum), mixed by Kurt Ballou (High On Fire, Converge, Black Breath). This record will be available to purchase on the night.

     BLACK MASS
     Super punishing, super heavy, super dark, super LOUD! BM purvey a certain filth in their music, and it is in this filth that your ears will writhe about like pigs in swill. Their fourth year in existence and they sound as heavy as ever, fine tuning sounds heard on their self-titled EP (Holy Roar, 2010) and various splits/re-mixes into a ravenous ear-splitting concoction of sludge, death, grind and crust. Not to be missed!

     Relatively new to the leeds punk scene, but certainly no strangers individually. Featuring members of Healing Powers/Bong Goblin/Piss Kidney/Dog Eggs. Extremely cutting thrash-laden powerviolence with precision riffs and razor sharp vocals.
