Sheffield vs Black Metal

    • Just a quick one.

Is there any point in trying to book black metal in Sheffield?

As some of you may be aware, these kind of shows no matter where or who they come from always seem to have a steep price due to the fact that bands are always well received on the mainland (where 80% of people will run around the forest drinking blood and screamind 'SATAN' regularly) and expect the same over here.

I know a few of us love the black metal, but has Sheffield really got any followers? And if so who would be the one band they might actually come out of the ritual sacrificial chamber for?

Answers on the back of a goatskull please.

    • Depends who it is, the Enslaved/Zyklon show a few years ago was phenomenal, if you managed to get Wolves In The Throne Room or a big name band like Gorgoroth etc that'd do well, less well known and it'd be a bit sparse I reckon.

    • went to 1349/gorogoroth a few years back at rock city in the basement, and that was pretty busy. so the demand is there in the midlands. depends what level the band is at, and where the other nearest shows are though
