Sounds OK, but rather jagged and disjointed (and not awesome like the way that Taint do it).

Apparently the new album is a prog monster epic beast, so I will wait and see how it fits into the grand scheme of the concept before enhancing my judgement.

Cathedral always seem to divide opinion on 9hz, which always intrigues me...

      I know the feeling.

    • I see what you mean by disjointed.

    • I have no qualms with the lead riff - it's pretty killer. But if this is going to be the 'promo track', shouldn't it contain enough groove to attract the 'maybe buyers' and general rock/metal followers?

    • I loved their last album... but have got a feeling this one's gonna be a bit rubbish. Some cool riffs in this track though, although it just sounds like they've wrote 100 riffs and sewn a bunch together and called it a song.

      Like St Anger?

    • Not sure about Cathedral. Like about two songs I've heard.

    • One my very fave bands up to Carnival Bizarre, was fully obsessed, but at that point I started to lose interest. I love Lee but haven't really checked out anything for years.

This sounds pretty good to me actually, vocals seem to high in the mix and yeah it's doesn't grab you by the throat, enough going on to warrant a few listens.

So the last one was good? What was it called?

Garden of Unearthly Delights, its only a few quid on amazon (well it was anyway). Theres a few howlers on it but its mostly quite solid up-tempo Cathedral

An awesome album ,despite the shitty reviews.

Plus if you buy it on CD, the disc is scratch n' sniff!! When you play it/scratch it, it smells of apples!!!

    • Bit gutted to find mine smelt of apples once I had sold it on ebay, then I discovered the CD did too..

      HHAHAAAAAAAAAHHA.

But it's not a very good album. Sorry. I like the song Ebony Tears tho,
