Wikipedia entries potentially having to be approved before going live?

    • I theory I'm against, but it gets effing stupid at times.

      Last year my loserish football team was on the verge of signing a bulgarian player when members of another message board edited his wikipedia with made up facts. They were picked up by every newspaper in the UK within 24 hours and run without question despite the fact that they were compeltely unreferenced.

      As such the site does clearly require a certain amount of editing. Most high profile topics (like Scientology, NRA etc.) end up locked anyway.
