Saturday 17th January (2009):
LANC-FASTER all dayer, 3pm start.
The Yorkshire House
2 Parliament Street
Lancaster LA1 1DB
£9
BRAT PACK (NL) - Totally rad REAGAN YOUTH / ADOLESCENTS -esque skate hardcore! They're having to play a bit earlier so that they can be in Belgium the next day. Make sure you don't miss them!
THE SHITTY LIMITS - 60s garage / 70s punk / 80s hardcore, I really can't put into words how good this band are. You NEED to see them.
BURNING THE PROSPECT - A blast of fresh despair from Boston-Not-Boston-Not-Portland.
MESA VERDE - Really fucking great Scottish euro-screamo kinda stuff, sort of like LA QUIETE.
THE ERGON CAROUSEL - Three dudes from NARCOSIS. One dude from BEECHER. One guy from down south. In case you missed the main point of that though, this is ex-NARCOSIS and BEECHER, putting all their skills to work. And really, you don't get much better than the NARCOSIS boys do you? Can I stress this enough? Three of these guys used to be in NAR-fucking-COSIS. They're playing just as fast, and just as good. You know, you really shouldn't miss this!
HYGIENE - Awesome post-punk from London that I've only heard for the first time today, but I'm really loving these three tunes they've got up!
THE 255s, - Let's just slow the fuck down for a minute, yeah? Too much fast can cause a heart attack, so here's some rockin hardcore / gruff punk kinda stuff, from manchester/liverpool.
HAMMERS - Make TRAGEDY sound like TWISTED SISTER-IN-LAW.
NOWHERE FAST - Proper early 80s style hardcore punk. Yeah!
JONATHAN ROSS - The shortest set, the fastest songs, the best dressed gentlemen in this festival. Or should that be INFEST-ival? Too corny? Sorry.
WE HAPPENED NEXT - Two-piece WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? worship, fuckin' a!
