   • what the scene in oxford's like? the missus are moving down there shortly thanks to her wonderful new job but i'm a bit pessimistic as to whether i'll find any decent diy underground folks willing to start some psychedelic power violence doom nonsense...

   • There's a few bands on the stonery side of things centring around bands like Winnebago Deal, Mondo Cada, Sextodecimo, Gunnbunny, Beard of Zeuss etc. And then there's Domes of Silence (Sean posts on here) who do a more psychedelic thing.
     
     A few venues do DIY gigs... The Wheatsheaf (if its still going), The Cellar, Port Mahon, Jericho Tavern, Exeter Hall. But gigs seem a bit few and far between. I only seem to go to Oxford for the bigger bands these days.

     done a bit of research and venue wise it seems more than adequate. like i said not enirely sure about the bands around the area. i typed in "heavy music oxford" into google and got some generic metalcore bands myspazz but there's bound to be some noisy little oiks about surely.
     
     hopefully i'll be able to get involved and put some gigs on meself too but we'll see. will be fun trying to scare the crap out of some posh students
