The Mindhammers EP is Hawk Eyes’ latest offering. A collection of new material that is positively alive with raucous energy and invention and a taste of what to expect in 2012 when then their new album drops. This is the band’s last release on Brew before they move on to their new home of Fierce Panda.
Previously the band released ‘Modern Bodies’ in November 2010, mixed by Kevin Vanbergen (80′s Matchbox B Line Disaster, The Pixies, Gallows) and mastered by Dick Beetham at 360 Mastering (Black Sabbath, Jeff Beck). Kerrang magazine went as far as saying that Hawk Eyes, “make the manicured chug of all other metal bands seem uni-formally redundant.”
Available on limited TRANSPARENT 10″ vinyl (with download code) & download
Through the summer that year Hawk Eyes played thirteen different festivals across the UK including Hevy, Camden Crawl, Leeds/Reading, Sonisphere and Offset Festival. In October of 2010 the band undertook a 12 date tour with We Are The Ocean and a 13 date UK / European tour with Canada’s Alexisonfire in November.
The start of 2011 saw the band grace the front cover of Artrocker magazine while a split 10” released on Brew and Dance to The Radio alongside Blacklisters, Catrovalva and Dolphins gave an exciting glimpse of what was to come.
To support the release of the Mindhammers EP, Hawk Eyes will be touring heavily in November with Turbowolf and The James Cleaver Quintet while December a tour supporting Ginger from the Wildhearts will follow after he personally invited the band to join him:
