     KYLESA
     
     The Georgian quintet whose music defies classification, as it incorporates avant-garde experimentalism with relentlessly sludgy riffs, drop-tuned guitars and elements of psychedelic rock, just released a new album called Static Tensions and comes again to play at Corporation. They features ex members of Damad, Cobra Kai, and The Mugshots, and current members of fellow Savannah band unpersons. And they are awesome.

     Born 2004. Made songs. Recorded three songs in 2005. Demo released. Recorded two more songs in 2006. Split with I Breathe Spears and With Scissors released on Millipede Records. Recorded 12 songs from April - December 2007. Album released 2008 on Sound Devastation Records. Drummer Matt Reid (ex-Whoresx3) joined late 2008, Stick Phil Collinsed to the front. Made 'NASA Vs ESA' video early 2009. Here endeth the history lesson.

   • still unsure whether i'm gonna attend or not, off work next week, but might have other plans. Not listened to much Kylesa since '...middle corse' which i really rate, do want to see Chickenhawk again (soon) though.
     
     Saw a message from Slomo on Facebook yesterday saying if people didn't start buying tickets gig would be in small room.
