I'm in need of a head

    • i basically want something so loud and stupid sounding that it will cover up the fact that my "awesome shredding" is just the spazzy malcoordinated dribble of a borderline spacker who's almost completed guitar hero iii on easy.

that is the extent of my guitar education.

    • yup m that'll work

    • Scare story time: I've known two people with Thor amps, and they've both caught fire.
      Sound ace, though.
    • JackJack
    • yeah i got mine fixed up and he also did a few things with the power for safety reasons, such as changing the old style power lead for a standard one. They do get hot haha

    • my hiwatt will be gracing the London town this eve cos tom broke his Roost
    • JackJack
    • Good stuff, i know not what I'm playing through as I think we were told not to bring amps, we'll see
    • PodgePodge
    • really? we were told we could used some Marshalls if we wanted but not to not bring an amp,

its coming anyway as the Roost is sans valves at the mo, the redbear sounds nice but not quite right and the hiwatt despite being massive and massively heavy sounds bloody good, just enough clarity

    • Think it was something to do with there being not much room for gear, but that might not be such a problem with no Ocean Chief. I'm gonna tube it anyways so probably borrow grahams amp if i can. Though shock, its a solid state!

    • Anyone want to buy a Soundman head - very good tone, heavy like Marshall but kind of smoother, endless sustain/power. Only prob is it always used to blow fuses - needs someone who can nurse it to some sort of proper working scenario. PM me!

    • Oh yeah if anyone is seriously interested I should say I've just put it on ebay!!

have you had the biasing checked, my old Marshall blows the HT fuse every time I put new valves in but works fine with the old ones, apparently it's a biasing issue.

    • No, no I haven't. Have had it fixed once but still blew a 1amp afterwards. However I think that's a bit of a weak fuse for it, thought 2 amp could be too strong!?

    • THIS is probably out of you price range but its a killer price fore and awesome setup
    • alanalan
    • It does look sweet, and yeah, a little over my budget.

Not even sure if/when I'm getting one now, as band things have ground to a halt. Frustrating. Verily.
