     Hi Gareth. I'm thinking of getting an Alesis Micron. Did you consider it? If so, what made you go for the Korg?
     
     I intend to use mine to make ugly drones through various osc/delay boxes and a low-pass filter. What about you?
     
     I'd be interested to know how you get on with it.
     
     
     I did look at the micron but the XL had piano, organ and string sounds which the micron and original microkorg lacked. I've only had it a week but I've used the piano and a couple of other sounds in songs, mainly pad/ambient stuff. You're free to give it a try if you're considering one.
     
     It's also got USB out for tweaking the sounds so if you're good with soft synths, it will be a doddle.
