Big Spaceship Presents a night of smoggy industrial noise pollution featuring Norway's own:
ARABROT
Norweigan noise rockers Arabrot return to the UK to promote their latest afterlife crushing, barrier bending black arts masterpiece 'SOLAR ANUS' (recorded and engineered ...by none other than Steve Albini.) Lyrically their album takes influence from biblical concepts and the mysticism of French philosopher Georges Bataille. Ideas present in this album cover themes such as heaven and hell, decay, waste, frustration and all seedy corners of filth present in everyday life. When asked about the title of the album and whether people will be offended by it guitarist and singer Kjetil Nernes retorts "we’re not worried about those kinds of people. In Germany occasionally people don’t get it, but here in the UK people always do" - thanks Kjetil, its good to know you have faith in us!
Critically the album has recieved widespread acclaim and has won the 2011 Norweigian Grammy for best metal album. So its officially Big Spaceship's first grammy-winning booking. Awesome. That aside, we are very proud to have Arabrot and the brilliant line up along with it. Make sure your make time to see this gig, it may not happen again for a long time.

MANATEES
Think of the tenderness of the graceful sea cow and the crushing cataclysmic nature of the deep ocean waves. Immensely riveting prog band that haven't toured in a year, all the more reason to see what they have to offer this time round.

NOPE
Genius melees of saturated harmonic baritone guitar and double the percussion. Nope create serene auditory scapes that envelop a sense of euphoric fulfilment. Their new album recorded by Matt Johnson at Suburban Home (Broken Arm/Hookworms) emits an endless signal of head nodding rays that ceaselessly promote joyous motions to the listener. A 4-headed rock hydra with members of That Fucking Tank, Mucky Sailor and Cowtown.

SUPER LUXURY
Ridiculous spazz-core mayhem with local Leeds lads. Be sure to expect the unexpected and where some protective clothing. Noisey, satirical, in-your-periphery music, guaranteed to put a smile on your face. New additions of drummer and bassist as well. Been described as a 'Car crash' and '*grimaces and shakes head*'. Don't miss em!
